As a 501(c)(3) public charity, donations to the Chillicothe-Ross Community Foundation offer significant tax advantages. Gifts to the Community Foundation qualify for the best income, gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax treatment allowed for charitable transfers:
For Individuals:

Deduct up to 60% of your adjusted gross income for cash gifts

Deduct up to 30% for gifts of stock or real property
For Corporations:

Deduct up to 10% of taxable income

Avoid capital gains tax on gifts of appreciated assets such as stock (both public and privately owned companies) and real estate. Your deduction will be valued at full fair market value, but you won’t have to recognize the built-in gains as income.
