Scholarships Available for Paint Valley High School Graduates
Roger and Emily Benner Fund for Paint Valley Graduates
In lasting memory of their parents, the daughters of Roger and Emily Benner have established annual scholarships to qualified graduates of Paint Valley High School, Bainbridge, Ohio.
Guidelines for Application
- Applicant must be a graduate of Paint Valley High School, Bainbridge, Ohio.
- Applicants must have not less than a “B” average (3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale.)
- Applicants must provide proof of acceptance by the college, trade, or technical school of his/her choice.
- Applications must be accompanied with official high school transcripts and ACT, or equivalent, scores.
- Scholarship funds are to be used for general expenses: Tuition, room/board, and books.
- Scholarship payment will be made only to the designated educational institution.
- Should a student withdraw before completing his/her first year, the remaining funds, in accordance with the policy of the institution, shall be returned to the fund.
- Roger and Emily Benner were supporters of local 4-H programs and preference will be given to 4-H members.
Norman R. Cutright Scholarship for Paint Valley Graduates
In lasting memory of Norman R Cutright, family and friends have established an annual one-time scholarship to qualified graduates of Paint Valley High School, Bainbridge, Ohio.
Guidelines for Application
- Nominee must be a graduate of Paint Valley High School, Bainbridge, Ohio.
- Nominee must have not less than a 2.5 Grade Point Average (2.5 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale.)
- Nominees must fill out an application.
- Nominees must fill out an educational budget as financial need will be a consideration.
- Nominee must provide a self expression synopsis (250 words or more) describing their educational goals and career plans.
- Nominee shall provide transcripts from Paint Valley High School.
- Nominee shall provide two recommendations from teachers, coaches, advisors or other community leaders.
- The money may be used at any accredited college or trade school.
- The money may be used for tuition, board and/or books.
